The Wembanyama Factor: Will the Spurs’ Rookie Phenom Surpass the Hype?
Alright, folks, so the jury is still out on Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama. Many NBA insiders have crowned Wembanyama as the heir to the NBA throne, while others are still skeptical. After two games at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, the Sprus have decided to shut him down. His first outing was uneventful, fueling many of the Wemby skeptics arguments in barbershops across the country. In his second game he came out and proved to be something special, scoring at will, blocking shots, and looking like a freak of nature while doing it.
