Mamadou Traore: Ballstar Spotlight

Mamadou Traore is a skilled guard from the Bronx, NY. He originally attended Archbishop Stepinac HS his freshman season but is now playing for Cardinal Hayes High school along with other talented division 1 prospects.

Traore has a story to tell. He really only got to play one year of high school ball but is a Junior in HS! This is because when he transferred schools, the league made him sit out a year due to the transfer policy and then he was unable to play much of this year with Covid. Traore helped Cardinal Hayes claim a 2021 CHSAA Spring League championship.

The 6’1 160 pound 2022 explosive guard holds an offer from Bryant and has plenty of interest from low and mid major division 1 schools. Traore hopes to rise his stock as he steps back onto the hoop scene this Summer, playing for Early Risers NYC.
